Quantum Radiology is a private mixed billing practice, meaning the cost of your examination may include the Medicare rebate and a provider fee, also known as a gap fee.

We understand that access to healthcare is important, and we are committed to ensuring imaging services remain accessible for those who need them most.
Patients who are:
- Pensioner Concession Card holders
- Health Care Card holders
- Children
will continue to be bulk billed for eligible services, with no out-of-pocket costs.
If you hold one of these concession cards or are booking an appointment for a child, please let our team know at the time of booking so we can ensure the correct billing is applied.

Billing and Payments
When scheduling your appointment, either online or by phone, you will be advised of the cost of your examination based on the service requested. Please note this is an estimate only, based on the information provided at the time of booking.
From time to time, additional services or scans may be required during your appointment to ensure the quality of the examination and to assist in obtaining the most accurate diagnosis. These additional services may attract further fees. Where possible, we will inform you of any changes to the estimated cost.
Payment is required at the commencement of your appointment. For eligible services, we can electronically submit your claim to Medicare on your behalf, with rebates typically deposited into your nominated bank account within 48 hours.
Understanding Your Out-of-Pocket Cost
Medicare covers a wide range of our imaging services. However, some examinations and procedures may attract an out-of-pocket cost, also known as a gap fee. Medicare bulk billing is available for certain services and eligible patients.
This mixed billing approach allows Quantum Radiology to continue investing in advanced imaging technology, specialised services, and high-quality patient care, supporting better healthcare outcomes.
